Hi, I’m Alexa, the founder of Freudenstücke.
What began with a passion for creating extraordinary candles has grown into something much more: a place dedicated to candle art, creativity and sharing knowledge.
For me, candle making has never been simply about pouring wax into a mould. I’m fascinated by the possibilities of transforming wax into something unexpected – experimenting with textures, surfaces, shapes and techniques and creating candles that become little works of art.
Over time, this passion also led me to share what I had learned.
Today, Freudenstücke brings together creative candle making, online courses, DIY projects and the Academy of Candle Art – a place where I share my techniques, experience and knowledge step by step.

I believe that truly beautiful results come from understanding not only how something is done, but also why it works.
That is why my courses go beyond simply recreating a project. I want to help you understand the materials, techniques and processes behind candle making so that you can develop your own ideas, experiment with confidence and create your own individual style.

THE ACADEMY OF CANDLE ART
The Academy of Candle Art is at the heart of Freudenstücke. It brings together the knowledge and techniques I have developed and gathered through my own work – from the fundamentals of candle making to unusual surfaces, design techniques, finishing and the development of your own creations.
The Academy is designed for both ambitious beginners and experienced candle makers who want to expand their knowledge and take their work to the next level. And because creativity knows no borders, my goal is to make this knowledge accessible to candle makers around the world.
MORE THAN JUST COURSES
Freudenstücke is also a place to simply enjoy being creative.
My DIY Candle Kits offer an easy introduction to candle making and are also a lovely creative gift. Individual online workshops allow you to explore selected projects and techniques without joining the complete Academy.
And, of course, creating my own candle designs remains an important part of Freudenstücke – because experimenting, developing new techniques and creating something extraordinary is ultimately where everything began.
